Do you have your piping tips, spatula, spoons, and brushes scattered around the kitchen so nothing can be found easily? If your answer is yes, I can show you an easy way to organize your baking supplies for $50 and under which would make a massive difference in organizing your supplies.

It’s a new year and it’s time to get organized. There are so many options available when organizing your cake decorating supplies and equipment.

Especially, with it being the first quarter of the year, there are so many sales and promotions you can take advantage of to have your decorating space organized in no time.

To organize your baking space with supplies for $50 and under, I recommend for the average baker who just starting out in no particular order is a label maker, smart paint pen, pre-made stickers labels, storage caddy, pencil box, tackle box, clear plastic storage bins, magnetic knife racks, and a storage rolling cart. These are great options for most bakers and decorators.

When deciding to organize your cake area you first want to think about how much space you have allocated for your decorating supplies and equipment.

If your space is limited you want to be sure to measure and know the dimensions to maximize storage. Doing a Semi-cheap upgrade can give you the optimal space you need when storing your supplies.

Check out your local craft stores such as Hobby Lobby and Michaels. Great news, Michaels is having their annual organization event sale and this is the best time to rack up on a few items.

Here are some get organization ideas under $50

1. Label Maker

First things to invest in if you don’t have it already is a label maker.  Brothers P-touch has a simple portal one that is easy to use and convenient. PTD210, Easy to Use Label Maker (click here to see on Amazon), will help you label all your containers and alphabetize them.

6. Tackle box

Tackle box containers is a great way to organize your piping tips. I don’t know about you, but I have so many of them in multiples sizes. With the help of a tackle box, you can organize each compartment to hold different items, depending on the dimensions, a large tackle box can hold your couplers and piping bags, and still have room to hold a variety of different items (click to check it out on Amazon or Walmart). This will be your new on the go supply buddy when you are heading to your next cake delivery.

9. Storage Cart

Storage rolling cart is a convenient item to have in your baking area as it can help you gather everything you need for the day on one cart. If your area is small a stationary cart can fit under a counter or in a corner of your pantry. The best thing is it can be tucked away nicely to keep your area clean. Rolling carts are typically sturdy and functional.

Lastly, you want to think of what items are in constant rotation, that you may use weekly when you baking. These items you want to keep closer near the bottom of the shelves or in the front.

Those items you are noticing are not in season or you are using then less frequently can be stored in the back. Just remember as you continue to grow as a baker, you will require and add new supplies and equipment to your area so be sure to constantly re-evaluate your space to maximize storage.
